How to use Guitar & Bass Scale Practice

  1. Choose guitar or bass, then set the tuning, root, scale, exercise type, fret range, and score rhythm.
  2. Use Rounds to keep practicing continuously or stop automatically after a selected number of scale cycles.
  3. Press Start near the score to play or pause. The vertical playhead follows the TAB, and Note Sound can be turned on or off.
  4. Adjust BPM, speed, and Rhythm mode to practice with no rhythm, a metronome, or a procedural drum groove.
  5. For continuous practice, the next cycle is appended visually so the score keeps flowing instead of jumping back to the first bar.

Frequently asked questions

Does this use external drum or instrument samples?

No. The current version uses browser-based synthesized note, metronome, and drum sounds instead of bundled WAV or SoundFont files.

Why does the score continue past the last bar in Continuous mode?

Continuous mode appends the next cycle visually so you can see the next bar before it arrives and keep practicing without a visual jump.

Can I practice a scale only a fixed number of times?

Yes. Change Rounds from Continuous to 1, 2, 3, 5, or 10 rounds, and playback will stop after that many cycles.
